I live 270 miles away from the training, I pay for my own accommodation and travel but it's worth every penny. I would recommend Brookhouse to anyone considering a change of career to become a gas engineer. They are honest people who manage your expectations.
Jason Ball
The Problem
Jason Ball was only 25 and managing an insurance broking office at the time, when he was told that he was too old to begin training as a gas engineer! Not happy with his job in insurance, he changed his career and went into banking. However, Jason never gave up thinking about retraining and achieving his ambition – in December 2009 he began researching how to become a gas engineer in earnest.
The Solution
Jason found Brookhouse Training Centre on the internet through a word of mouth recommendation and even though he lives in Portsmouth, the guarantee of a work placement persuaded Jason to explore the opportunities with us. As advised to do by Brookhouse, he spoke to other providers of gas engineering training and although some offered accommodation, none of them guaranteed work placements. This made Jason’s decision to travel north each week to complete his training a lot easier. The day after Jason signed up for his training, we secured him a work placement with a multinational services company, locally to Portsmouth.
