Our Facilities

Details make the difference

Our high quality, purpose built training centre is fully equipped with the latest technology to offer practical learning through tailored courses. Our facilities are second to none and are often used as a benchmark on how to train within industry.

Turn up, turn on!

All of our classrooms are set out in a “U” shape in order to promote a whole group discussion, which we have found over the years to be the most effective and engaging setting. Don’t worry, it’s not like being back at school! We only train in small groups of just 12 students per tutor and when we go into the gas training bays you often work in pairs, which creates a very positive in-depth learning environment.

Energy-efficient learning

Our high quality, purpose-built training centre is fully equipped with the latest technology to offer practical learning through condensed, full-time, evening or weekend courses.
We sit down for a 1-to-1 with each and every student we train to listen and gather real feedback, which helps us change, develop and improve every month. Never settle for “good enough” – to be the best you must train and learn from the best.

Build it. Fix it. Love it.

You will not be bored. It’s a given – all of our tutors are infectiously passionate about gas! Demonstrating a ‘can do’ spirit, they believe in our students and are genuinely excited about helping you change your career – and life.

Hands-on engineering

We have four separate purpose-built workshop areas, including our recently developed – and so far, unmatched in the UK – Fault Finding Area launched in 2015.

Mock Exams Facilities

We want to make sure that you’re ready for your certification exam – which is why we dedicated an entire area to pre-assessment and intense training preparations, so necessary after your work placement out in the industry.

Fuelling great engineers since 1999

We also know good food fuels the mind, which is why we have an onsite canteen in town with delicious, quality home-cooked food on offer throughout the day. Dig in!

With great training comes great responsibility. Everything you see, hear, do and learn in our training centre areas is relevant to gas engineering to prepare you well for any challenge you will encounter in your future career.

Our training centres are equipped by our tutors, based on feedback from our students and needs of the industry. If it has a purpose and can make you a better gas engineer, we’re getting it.

Our courses focus on more than just the basics of becoming Gas Safe. We invested in a Fault Finding Area, a Mock Exam & Training Facility and a number of ‘journey through the ages’ training bays in order to empower you and make you confident that you can do the job.

We pride ourselves on the highest standard of plumbing and gas training - and this quality of teaching is reflected in our 100% Work Placement Guarantee. Businesses come back year on year to take on our students and provide them with a portfolio of evidence. In 77% of cases, they offer them a job after the certification exams.

Whether it’s a full time, part time, weekend or evening course, at Brookhouse Training you will learn how to be a gas specialist - with focus on things such as fault finding, diagnostics and repair, learning how to fix issues rather than just swap parts.

The Brookhouse Training centre has grown into what you see today building by building, renovation by renovation. We are always striving to improve, constantly investing in our bespoke training bays and unique workshop facilities. If you need to strip a boiler 20 times to learn how it works - not a problem, welcome to our ‘stripping’ area. Afraid you’ll have to work with old equipment? Come to our ‘wet bays’ and examine 100 years old equipment. Brookhouse is built bespoke for its students.

The reason we have the reputation of being the best gas training centre in the UK, we give our students what they need to work competently with gas, not what is easiest and quickest for us to deliver.

Book your open day place

This is your opportunity to see first-hand who you might be training with, to receive priceless career advice and to ask as many questions as you like. Our aim is to leave you informed and educated, with your mind at ease, happy that you have met us, and impressed with our centre.

Please note that places on our Open Mornings are limited, so you are strongly advised to reserve a place – we are very aware that this is a big decision, so you are more than welcome to bring a friend or a partner with you too. All we ask is that you let us know beforehand, so we can get the numbers right for the catering (yes, we provide refreshments too!). There is no binding commitment – at the end of the morning you’re free to leave and think about everything that you’ve heard. We want you to make the right decision, in your own time, without any pressure!

Stop thinking about doing the course and get it done.I was a hgv driver for over 15 years no experience in plumbing and gas and was threatening to do the course for a while just wish I had done it sooner. Please don't think u can just attend and pass coz u can't. If u put the work in and study u can pass and succeed. There was times on the course I was thinking how am I going to pass this and wish I hadn't of started it. But after the placement and studying it all sinks in trust. My tutor Chris is a top guy helped with anything I don't understand. Placement was very good I got took on straight away after passing my acs. It took me all in 6 months so it can be done. So it's been just over a year now that I've been employed, the company I work for have paid me to do cookes/fires/Lpg all qualified now. Also I have been doing some jobs of my own aswell. Get it done 5 STAR 100%

I left the Royal Marines after 15 years, having only ever known one employment. The gulf between careers seemed massive.Brook house bridged that gap perfectly. The staff all have a genuine investment in your success. The training and facilities are excellent and leave you well prepared for what you will encounter on site. The work placement was brilliant and selected with care to put you in a strong position to complete your portfolio and ACS.Upon completion Brook house provided advice and support to help me find employment…. 3 days later I was employed.I can’t thank the team enough…well worth it !!

Can't fault this place at all. It was a great place to learn, the tutors were very knowledgeable and patient. It is a fast paced course especially if you have no previous plumbing/gas experience, but if you take their advice to revise and read the books provided it makes it a lot easier to take it all in.My placement was a bit up and down. My placement was cancelled at the last minute but BTC had set me up with another but this could only be for a month. During that month BTC had kept on it and arranged a permanent placement who I am now fully employed with. Cheers Tim. When on placement I needed to get in contact with my tutor for a couple of questions. He was easy to get hold of and was happy to help. Cheers John. All in all I am very happy that I chose Brookhouse and would recommend to anyone.Thank you all at BTC

Best decision I've made with my life.I qualified in around 7 months and got a job with British Gas immediately after passing. The instructors were great, really knew their stuff.Portfolio jobs were marked off by staff usually within a week. Guaranteed placement was good but there were a few issues such as not doing enough gas jobs but it was sorted by brookhouse.£7,000, leaving a job and 6 months unpaid training is a big decision to make. It paid off massively for me. I've now got a career I love, a large payrise and a job I enjoy.A few tips-Study hard, it's a fast paced course.-Have a plan of what you want too do after, I'd recommend employment after. 6 months isn't enough to go self employed I feel.-worth getting accommodation so you can focus on course.
