BTC’s course includes training as it has become apparent candidates will find it hard to sit the Re-Assessment without some form of refresher training. As an example, we have devised the following example questions – if you can answer them without difficulty, we will be happy to accept you for an Assessment-Only course!

The course consists of a refresher training programme and a multiple-choice assessment exam on each of the Units within the Operator scope, namely:

• Unit 001 - Location & Avoidance of Underground Apparatus
• Unit 002 - Signing, Lighting & Guarding
• Unit 003 - Excavation in the Highway
• Unit 004 - Reinstatement and Compaction of Backfill Materials
• Unit 005 - Reinstatement of Sub Base & Road Base in Non-Bituminous Materials
• Unit 006 - Reinstatement in Cold Lay Bituminous Materials
• Unit 009 - Reinstatement of Modular & Concrete Footways

Each exam consists of a 30 minute question paper for each unit.
