The Award in First Line Management gives an introduction to the basic skills, knowledge and understanding required by today's first line manager. The mandatory unit in 'Solving Problems' and 'Making Decisions' is designed to develop practical techniques for tackling managerial problems and decisions.

This is a concise qualification designed to give learners a basic knowledge of the various roles, functions and responsibilities of a team leader. There are no formal entry requirements but participants would normally be either practicing or aspiring team leaders or have a background which will enable them to benefit from the programme.
